SNES Pi updates! More awesome information!

Greetings true believers!

This is an informational update that we bring you today! We're still offering the SNES Pi's with Chrono Trigger: Flames of Eternity on them. We're also expanding what you can have done with your SNES Pi at the time that you order it! :)

You now have the option of having additional SNES games loaded onto your SNES Pi! (At the cost of 0.50 per game!) Also you have the option of having XBMC (Xbox Media Center) added onto your Pi installation as well ( At the cost of $10). Thus you'll be able to turn your SNES Pi into an all in one game system and streaming box! (XBMC control is done through a smart phone app available on the Google PlayStore.)

What does it all mean?? Well, you'll be able to play Flames of Eternity, and other SNES games that you request, and play your movies, music, and tv shows all through your SNES Pi!

We didn't offer these options earlier because we had to fine tune and configure our test Pi. (This includes some configuring in Linux which isn't easy at all. Trust us on this.)

SNES Pi running Flames of Eternity!

Today I bring you footage that I have shot with the help of my young assistant (he’s 7 and LOVES Chrono Trigger). The first video is of our SNES Pi testing unit and showing you that it is controlled via the controller, and that the Pi’s run Flames of Eternity at full speed!

Chrono Trigger: Flames of Eternity RC-7B released!!

This is the post that most of you have been waiting for! The release of RC-7B puts more updates into your Chrono starved hands! You will be able to find a copy of it here. The change log for this release is as follows:

• Re-tiled 2305 mall map to get layers correct
• Expanded 2305 OW map
• Made map links to top center room (stairs) and middle slightly left room (w/ door) correct
      (far left, far right, and middle right (w/ door) rooms still not correct)
• Changed Magus's super weapons vendor to human, and added storyline checks
    -First arrive in 2305, cannot sell anything
    -Stoyline >= 3C, can sell items only
    -Storyline >= C6, can sell Magus's super weps
• Added pre-war history to New Dorino Library
  YES YOU CAN SKIP THE INTRO!!

Additionally, what this is means is that we are no longer offering the SNES Pi: Flames of Eternity Edition package for sale, we are offering simply preconfigured SNES Pi’s available for purchase! If you are interested, e-mail: enhasaorders@gmail.com!

Today I bring you some more updates on several bits of information!
Play-testing is almost complete on the RC-7B build of Chrono Trigger: Flames of Eternity.
If things continue to go smoothly we should see a release within the next couple of days!

For some more updates! I have posted a picture of a put together SNES Pi. :)

The first batch will be mailed out the same that RC-7B is released. THIS IS INTENTIONAL. So that RC-7B will be available on the blog before the buyers get the SNES Pis in hand. That way the first batch of SNES Pis arrive around Thanksgiving time!

After Friday, we will no longer offer the SNES Pi: Flames of Eternity Edition package which has the guide/artbook included with it.

Testing commences!

Greetings True Believers!

This is an informational update, we are currently goign through the play test of the next release of Flames of Eternity, dubbed "RC7-B" by the Enhasa Enhancements developers! We have completed assembly of the first of the SNES Pi Flames of Eternity Editions, this includes getting the guides printed. We're waiting for the play testing to finish on RC7-B before we ship these out to their eagerly awaiting homes. :)

How the release of RC7-B is going to work, the day that we release RC7-B on the blog is the day that we are going to send out the SNES Pi's. The Pis will have RC7-B on them, but due to shipping (USPS Priority Mail), you'll be able to RC7-B here first (just no hardware to play it on unless you order a SNES Pi. ;)

After the release of RC7-B, we will no longer offer the "Flames of Eternity Edition" package, it will be assembled SNES Pis with the game on them, no guide. The Guide/Artbook is the limited edition portion!
The price may change (That's depending upon if the vendor changes the prices :( )

Flames of Eternity PUMPED DIRECTLY INTO YOUR TV!

So, as suspected, we were throwing around ideas for a tangible CT: Flames of Eternity product that you could call your very own and we have come to an amazing solution.

After much research, and scouring of the net, we have decided to take the next step, and we have settled upon offering an "SNES Pi Flames of Eternity Edition" package.

'Giro, what does this mean?', you are probably asking yourself. Well, we are going to start taking orders for a Raspberry Pi based Emulation System, this would be a small, assembled and configured console that you could plug into your TV, power on, and start playing Flames of Eternity! NO SNES NEEDED!! ZOMG! IT WORKS ON HDTV!!

WE ARE NOT CHARGING FOR FLAMES OF ETERNITY, let us get this fact out into the open right from the get-go. We are not charging for ANY of the software that we will be using to make these.

What will come in this awesome package?

Here are the contents of what you would be getting:
1) Raspberry Pi SNES configured out of the box (Signed by Giro)
2) USB SNES controller (Not the ones with the crappy plastic buttons for start and select, but genuine RUBBER for that ye olde schoole feel!)
3) Power Supply
4) HDMI Cable
5) Chrono Trigger: Flames of Eternity Strategy Guide/Art Book (Done up nice and cute like) signed by the developers of both teams

Sounds pretty sweet, right?

"Ye Gods Giro! What about the cost man? What about the COST!?"

This is the beautiful part, we will ONLY charge for the hardware and shipping. So this awesome-sauce package will cost a good $80 each.
Now, the back bone of these will be running on Linux, so you know it will be reliable and only crash or tank due to an "Act of God" [That's IT speaks for accident/natural disaster].

Now the only thing holding the "SNES Pi Flames Of Eternity Edition" back is that we need a small number of people to order one. We are looking for between 5 - 15 people to order one of these.

Added more: The snes raspberry pi route would take care of those that no longer have an snes. These would also include something from us developers, be it a signed strategy guide or similar. Besides you can connect a Pi to a hdtv and have a controller.

It has come to the attention of both FoE development teams, the old, RubyDragoons, and the new, Enhasa Enhancements, that a few unsavory types have started SELLING copies of Chrono Trigger: Flames of Eternity. For the outlandish price of $95 plus shipping and handling. We the developers have never seen a SINGLE dime for the work that we have done on this game. Though we are flattered that people feel that our work is commercial grade, it pains us that they feel that they can make a profit of off something that is supposed to be FREE.
This game is made by fans, for fans, because of the love of the game.
Chrono Trigger: Flames of Eternity is FREE, so if you PAID for the game, DEMAND YOUR MONEY BACK.

We will never charge you for this game, EVER.
So if you run across an unsavory type selling a copy of this game, DO NOT BUY IT.

CT: FoE production back on track, under a new studio!

It has been over a year since we last updated this blog, and for good reason. So much has changed in that time!

Development on Chrono Trigger: Flames of Eternity by the Ruby Dragoons development team has ceased.
A new development team, Enhasa Enhancements has taken up the reigns on developing all future releases of Chrono Trigger: Flames of Eternity!

The project is not dead, new hands have stepped forward to take up the cause!
